US Junior Track Nationals kick off Thursday at the Home Depot Center Velodrome in Carson, Calif.


The USA Cycling Junior Track National Championships are set to begin this Thursday. The event, which runs through Sunday, July 5, will see the next generation of American track cyclists vie for 24 national titles at the Home Depot Center Velodrome in suburban L.A.

Stars-and-stripes jerseys will be awarded to the winners in each of the men’s 17-18 and women’s 17-18 individual events and to the overall omnium winners in the men’s and women’s 10-12, 13-14, and 15-16 categories. National titles will also be up for grabs to the winners of the men’s and women’s team sprint, the team pursuit, and the Madison, and to the winners of the Paralympic 500-meter time trial, kilometer time trial, and 3-kilometer pursuit.
